Lyric Music & More: July 12

Though we’re in the heart of summer, the start of the season is less than two months away, and Fiddler on the Roof opens September 17! This production is directed by world renowned director Barrie Kosky and is led by an amazing cast of Broadway stars. Take a closer look at these amazing performers, and you’ll be as excited as we are for Fiddler on the Roof to open.

Caroline Shaw on Four Portraits

What would it sound like if Siri could sing? Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw brings her first opera, Four Portraits, to the stage in the 2022/23 Season as part of Lyric’s world premiere commission Proximity. In this clip, hear why a vocoder was the perfect vehicle to bring a GPS to life.
