Get Ready for an Evening of Glorious Music Under the Stars

Lyric is excited to welcome you to the annual Stars of Lyric Opera at Millennium Park free concert! Meet us at the beautiful Jay Pritzker Pavilion to enjoy a fabulous night of music and spectacle starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7

Hear the international stars of Lyric’s upcoming production of La bohème, including Maria Agresta, Danielle de Niese, Michael Fabiano, Zachary Nelson, Adrian Sâmpetrean, and Jake Gardner. They will perform portions of Act I and the entire Act II, which will feature members of the Chicago Children's Choir. 

Acclaimed Ryan Opera Center alumna Elizabeth DeShong will also perform, as well as current ensemble members Whitney Morrison, Ricardo José Rivera, Mario Rojas, and Ann Toomey. Other evening highlights will include excerpts from Verdi’s Il trovatore and La traviata, and Mozart’s Idomeneo.

Leading the Lyric Opera Orchestra is esteemed conductor Domingo Hindoyan, who will also conduct La bohème at Lyric Oct. 6-20 and Jan. 10-25. The Lyric Opera Chorus will be prepared by chorus master Michael Black.
