Everybody Conga! Director Daniel Slater (in his Lyric debut) swept us away from chilly Chicago to a sun-soaked seaside resort designed by Robert Innes Hopkins in this delightful production of Donizetti's The Elixir of Love.

Exactly 25 years after its world premiere, Daniel Catán's Florencia en el Amazonas made history in the 2021/22 Season as the first Spanish-language work presented as part of Lyric's mainstage opera season.

Director Barrie Kosky and Suzanne Andrade of performance group 1927 made theater magic with a radical reimagining of Mozart's The Magic Flute. Almost ten years after its premiere at the Komische Oper Berlin, this production has been performed in 36 different cities, seen by nearly 700,000 people around the world, and continues to sell out every run when it's presented in Berlin.

Opening Night of the 2021/22 Season was an emotional evening for artists, audiences, and staff alike. It marked the first live performance at the Lyric Opera House in 19 months, and the beginning of a new era as Maestro Enrique Mazzola took the podium as music director.

There are few things more exciting than hearing the full Lyric Opera Orchestra perform some of Verdi's most epic works. Add in a Verdi master like Enrique Mazzola and two superstar singers like Russell Thomas and Tamara Wilson and you have a concert to remember!
