Sondra Radvanovsky in Concert The Puccini Heroines
After Sondra Radvanovsky’s Lyric triumphs in works by Bellini, Donizetti, and Verdi, Chicago audiences will at last have the chance to experience the American diva’s brilliance as a Puccinian. Radvanovsky has earned rapturous international praise in the title roles of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Tosca, Suor Angelica, and most recently Turandot. Music Director Enrique Mazzola will collaborate with her in a program including excerpts that span Puccini’s vast repertoire — not only the popular masterpieces but also his less familiar, early operas. Given her magnificent voice, stylistic command, and incandescent dramatic powers, Radvanovsky was made for this tour-de-force performance.
- Language: Sung in Italian with projected English titles
- Running Time: 2 hours, including 1 intermission
- Location: Lyric Opera House
Lyric’s presentation of Sondra Radvanovsky in Concert: The Puccini Heroines is generously made possible by Sonia Florian.
