Led by Chicagoans Herbie Hancock and co-artistic director, GRAMMY Award–winning vocalist Kurt Elling, the concert features artists from around the world alongside leading Chicago talent, highlighting the city’s rich jazz legacy and its enduring influence on the global stage.

Broadcast live in 4K from the iconic Lyric Opera of Chicago to audiences around the world, this milestone 15th anniversary event — recognized on the official calendars of the United Nations and UNESCO — is part of Chicago’s and Illinois’ celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States. It honors jazz as a uniquely American art form and a vital contribution to global culture, as well as a powerful force for peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The concert will be broadcast live worldwide and will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early. Late seating may be limited.
