On Thursday, January 24, hundreds of subscribers braved the chilly weather to attend Lyric’s 2019/20 Season Preview event. Lyric premieres, rarely performed works, and a monumental Ring coming in 2020 were among the choices for subscribers that night, who became among the first to renew their seats for the unforgettable lineup.

Lyric has lined up a terrific cast for the company premiere of West Side Story. Broadway stars, international singing sensations, and exciting new faces take on the roles of Tony, Maria, Anita, and Bernardo along with the rest of this powerful West Side Story cast.

A Russian soprano, a Serbian baritone, and an Italian tenor will grace La traviata when Verdi’s exquisite romance returns to Lyric this month. Albina Shagimuratova (Violetta) and Zeljko Lučič (Germont) are great favorites with Lyric audiences, and Giorgio Berrugi (Alfredo) is making one of the 2018/19 season’s most eagerly awaited company debuts.
