Wine Auction 2018

On January 15, 1988, The Women’s Board of Lyric Opera of Chicago presented its first Wine Auction in The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Grand Foyer. Since then, the Women’s Board’s Wine Auctions (initially held every two years and since 1994 every three years) have raised over nine million dollars for Lyric. This will be the twelfth Wine Auction at Lyric. This year, we commemorate the event’s 30th anniversary with Wine Auction 2018 on Saturday, April 14. It is our most sincere privilege to welcome Château Margaux as our Honored Guest and celebrate Shirley Welsh Ryan as our Honoree.

Wine Auction is lauded by many as Lyric’s most elegant evening, and there are many ways to get involved, even from the comfort of your own home.
