Week 14: Lyric Commentaries for opera streaming and more!

This week, Lyric's broadcast series with WFMT continues on Saturday, June 20, with our 2017/18 production of Rigoletto. Revisit this incredible production with musical highlights, program articles and photos of our set and artists, and supplement your listening experience with the Lyric Commentary by Colin Ure.

Also featured this week are selections from week 14 of the Met's Nightly Streams, LA Opera's "Lift Every Voice" conversation on racial disparity and inequity moderated by Ryan Opera Center alum J'Nai Bridges, and Lyric favorites from our friends at The Royal Theatre of La Monnaie, Opera Vlaanderen, the Royal Opera House, and Sofia National Opera.

To help you get the most out of these operas, Lyric Opera Commentaries discuss the synopsis, music, and some historical insights into how each piece was created. It’s like a Pre-Opera Talk you can enjoy at home!

Enjoy the background, and enjoy the operas! View more Lyric Commentaries that enhance your weekly opera streaming.
