Week 13: Lyric Commentaries for opera streaming and more!

Welcome to another week of opera streams and Lyric commentaries! This week, you're in for something special when Lyric's 2017/18 production of Turandot broadcasts on WFMT. Relive the magic of Lyric's take on Puccini's masterpiece, and supplement your listening experience with the Lyric Commentary by our very own Sir Andrew Davis. Be sure to revisit our production page for program articles, musical highlights, and more!

Also featured this week are selections from week 13 of the Met's Nightly Streams, The Rake's Progress at Festival Aix-En-Provence, a chamber opera from our friends at Opera North, and two Verdi classics from Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and Opera Australia.

To help you get the most out of these operas, Lyric Opera Commentaries discuss the synopsis, music, and some historical insight into how each piece was created. It’s like a Pre-Opera Talk you can enjoy at home!

Enjoy the background, and enjoy the operas! View more Lyric commentaries that enhance your weekly opera streaming.
