The curtain is set to rise on our 64th season and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to Lyric with Puccini's La bohème. This sparkling new coproduction brings the Lyric debuts of Michael Fabiano (Rodolfo) and Maestro Domingo Hindoyan, as well as the return of many Lyric favorites including Maria Agresta (Mimì), Danielle de Niese (Musetta), Zachary Nelson (Marcello), and Adrian Sâmpetrean (Colline). Also in this issue, you'll discover the new 2019/20 Ryan Opera Center ensemble members and catch up with Ryan Opera Center alumnus David Portillo, who will be seen in this season's Idomeneo. New this season — please note that Monday through Friday evening performances now start at 7pm. The Opening Night performance on October 6 will begin at 6:30pm. The Lyric Opera House was abuzz with anticipation on Sunday, September 30, when more than 20 finalists representing the world’s finest emerging singers performed in the Final Auditions of Lyric’s renowned artist-training program, The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center.
