Be the Hero of our Story
We are heartbroken to have cut short our incredible 2019/20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although performances through June 30 have been canceled or rescheduled, we incurred significant expenses rehearsing and preparing these productions, and we are now faced with substantial financial challenges.
We are asking for your help in recovering from this devastating loss.
Our heartfelt appreciation
Championed by our remarkable Board of Directors, we have established The Heroes’ Fund to inspire vital support from our loyal Lyric family. This fund matches generous contributions by our loyal patrons dollar-for-dollar.
Together, with your support matched dollar-for-dollar, we hope to raise $10 million to help carry Lyric through this challenging time. We invite you to participate in this heroic effort and have your gift matched:
- Make a charitable contribution to Lyric today. Every donation is critical, and every dollar will be matched.
- Donate your tickets for Ring, Götterdämmerung, and 42nd Street back to Lyric as a contribution.
We will get through this. But we need to be sure Lyric is there when we emerge on the other end.
About The Heroes’ Fund
Our Board of Directors Chair-Elect Sylvia Neil, along with her husband Dan Fischel, started The Heroes’ Fund in response to the devastating $15-$20 million financial loss that Lyric incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the necessary cancellation of our highly anticipated Ring cycle.
We are sincerely grateful to every donor who has contributed to this vital relief fund. Thank you for helping Lyric navigate this difficult time.
