A Letter From Elizabeth Hurley

Dear Donors of the Lyric Family:

Thank you for the warm welcome I have received since joining Lyric Opera of Chicago as Chief Development Officer on March 1. Although I have been in my new role only a short time, it has been a great pleasure to meet so many of the donors and volunteers who make Lyric such a special place. I look forward to meeting more of you throughout the remainder of the season, so please introduce yourself when you see me around the opera house!

My road to Lyric started with the Peter Sellars production of Wagner's Tannhäuser in 1988. Few productions at Lyric or anywhere else have made such an impression! Throughout my career as a fundraiser in the arts in Chicago and New York City, I have returned to the Lyric Opera House again and again to be thrilled by magnificent Lyric productions. I am grateful to Anthony Freud for inviting me to join his team and I am truly so happy to be back home in Chicago and part of this wonderful company. Thank you for everything you do to support Lyric.
