Bel Canto – Page to Stage

Bel Canto Summer Reading List

As Lyric prepares to present the world premiere of Bel Canto on December 7 of this year, now is the perfect time to immerse yourself in the written work that started it all.  Bel Canto, the best-selling novel by Ann Patchett, is the early fall focus of many book groups.

All of us at Lyric are eager to make Bel Canto the focus of your fall reading and we’re pleased to offer the brand-new Bel Canto book-and-opera discussion guide.  The guide is designed to be your companion as you explore the novel and then consider the transformation from written work to full operatic presentation.

The Bel Canto discussion guide is available here and is also formatted as an easy-to-print file for hard-copy sharing.

We are eager to hear your comments about the book, and from your book group.  You can connect with us via Lyric’s Facebook page and keep us posted on your progress.

Bel Canto runs from December 7 - January 17. Tickets on sale now, including packages of three or more shows, which offer savings up to 50% off individual ticket prices. Need assistance? Our audience services department may be reached at 312.827.5600.
