In its inaugural season, this luxury motor-coach service invites patrons to park at Northbrook Court and be driven to the front door of Lyric Opera. With arrival one hour before curtain, in time to enjoy dining or pre-opera talks, this service is offered for weekday matinees and costs just $20 roundtrip. David Portillo, one of today’s leading artists who is featured in Wozzeck and is an alumnus of the Ryan Opera Center, presents an evening of songs, zarzuela, and boleros by celebrated Latin-American composers at the National Museum of Mexican Art, accompanied by pianist Shannon McGinnis. A reception with the artists will follow the performance.

From the moment you enter the beautiful and impressive foyer, you’ll be in for a special, one-hour experience that will give you behind-the-scenes insights into the vibrant world of grand opera. Join an opera docent and fellow music and theater lovers on a one-hour adventure behind the footlights. All tours are at 10am and leave on select dates.
