Join us for this illuminating series with music historian and opera expert David Buch. Each session will discuss a work’s creation, its composer, its musical and dramatic highlights, and its particular magic. You’ll also hear from a special guest from Lyric’s creative team who will share insights into set and costume design, interpretation, stagecraft, and more.

David Buch, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, is a music historian whose expertise ranges from the 17th through the mid 20th centuries, particularly Mozart, opera, and the Baroque. He’s known to Lyric audiences for his popular pre-opera talks on Mozart operas.
