Rika Seko

Rika has been an active freelance violinist in the Chicago area since 1996.

Currently, she is Concertmaster at Elmhurst Symphony and a member of Grant Park Music Festival Symphony, Music of the Baroque orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Fulcrum Point New Music Project, and Camerata Chicago as well as Ivy Lane and Pyrenean string quartets.

Rika has been enjoying various chamber music activities with friends, colleagues, and family, which she hopes to continue post-pandemic. During summer time, she raises Monarchs and Swallowtails. In 2022, over 50 butterflies were released from her “butterfly farm”.
