Kevin Fink

Kevin Fink joined the Lyric Opera Orchestra in 2026 as principal bass. Originally from Yorktown Heights, New York, Kevin received his bachelor’s degree in music performance from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, studying with Timothy Pitts. His other teachers and mentors include Paul Ellison and Jeremy McCoy.

Prior to joining the Lyric Opera Orchestra, Kevin was a member of the Arkansas Symphony, and has performed with various orchestras including the Houston Symphony and Dallas Symphony. He has also been a fellow at music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, and Tanglewood Music Center.

An avid teacher, Kevin maintained a large private studio while in Houston, and served as a teaching artist with the Houston Youth Symphony. He is also an active solo and chamber performer, equally at home in both early music and contemporary settings.

Outside of the orchestra, Kevin enjoys hiking and nature, and is looking forward to exploring Chicago’s food scene.
