Lin Fan

The bass-baritone from Chengdu, China, is a first-year member of the Ryan Opera Center. He recently completed his Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School, after earning his bachelor’s degree from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. Honors include the Brian Dickie Young Talent Award at the 2024 Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition, semifinalist recognition at the 2024 Concours de Genève, and selection as a National Semifinalist in the 2026 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. While at Juilliard, Fan performed Pistola/Falstaff and the Jailer/Dialogues des Carmélites. Other roles include Prudenzio/Il viaggio a Reims, Schaunard/La Bohème, and Chouhu/The Savage Land.

In Lyric’s 2026/27 Season, Fan will sing the Lackey/Ariadne auf Naxos and Dr. Grenvil/La traviata.
