Be the voice of Lyric on your campus

Do you love promoting events, creating buzz, networking, and working for a cause you believe in? Are you an innovative and organized university student in Illinois?

If this sounds like you, apply to be part of the Lyric University Ambassadors team and be part of building the NEXT generation of opera lovers on your campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Elevate awareness of Lyric's NEXT program among your classmates

  • Organize and promote College Night events

  • Share your excitement for the upcoming season on your favorite social media platforms

  • Distribute flyers, posters, and swag on your campus

  • Help organize group trips to performances

Fancy an evening of free food and an up-close look at life behind the scenes at Lyric? Join us for one of our many college night receptions throughout the season, where you can mingle with other students while enjoying complimentary refreshments and a Q&A session with members of Lyric's behind-the-scenes staff before attending your performance.

College nights are typically hosted 4-5 times per season, and will be announced approximately one month before the event date. All College Night announcements and updates are sent via email and text message to students registered for NEXT.

NEXT is a program for full-time, degree-seeking college students only. (Sorry, discount not valid for continuing ed, part-time, and high school students.) All NEXT ticket holders will be asked to show a valid college ID upon entering the theater.

Tickets are sold in advance; online purchases only. No rush tickets. Seat locations are assigned on a first-come, first-seated basis and cannot be changed after purchase.
