Who qualifies for NEXT? Our NEXT program is for full-time, degree-seeking college and graduate students. Valid school email address and student ID are required.

How do I get tickets? Sign up using the form below! When NEXT student tickets become available, you will receive an email* announcement and your NEXT promo code. You will need to enter this code every time you purchase tickets on a NEXT date to enjoy your discount.

NEXT Now — Discount Student Subscriptions

Exclusive NEXT Now subscriptions for NEXT students include tickets to three or more shows throughout the Lyric Season at the same price of just $20 per ticket (reg. price up to $229). NEXT single tickets for select performances are added on a rolling basis throughout the season, but you don't have to wait — plan ahead and reserve your seats in advance with a NEXT Now subscription!

NEXT Now Subscriptions for the 2019/20 Season will be onsale in August 2019.


NEXT Now subscriptions are only available to full-time university students with a valid student ID and .edu email address. Excludes Main Floor Prime, Aisle, and Box Seats. Tickets will be seated based on availability, and specific seating requests cannot be accommodated. Dates may be subject to change based on availability.

Lyric Opera College Nights

Fancy an evening of free food and an up-close look at life behind the scenes at Lyric? Join us for one of our many College Night receptions throughout the season, where you can mingle with other students while enjoying complimentary refreshments and a Q&A session with members of Lyric's behind-the-scenes staff before attending your performance.

College Nights are typically offered 4-5 times per season, and will be announced approximately one month before the event date. All College Night announcements and updates are sent via email and text message to students registered for NEXT.

NEXT is a program for full-time, degree-seeking college students only. (Sorry, discount not valid for continuing ed, part-time, and high school students.) All NEXT ticket holders will be asked to show a valid college ID upon entering the theater.

Tickets are sold in advance; online purchases only. No rush tickets. Seat locations are assigned on a first-come, first-seated basis and cannot be changed after purchase.
