The Opera Insider Series

  • Location - Civic Opera Building Conference Center

Join us for this illuminating series with music historian and opera expert David Buch. Whether you wish to learn more about an opera before seeing it for the first time, or want a deeper understanding of an opera that you already know and love, you’ll enjoy this in-depth exploration of each opera in the 2019/20 season. Sessions will discuss a work’s creation, its composer, its musical and dramatic highlights, and its particular magic. You’ll also hear from a special guest from Lyric’s technical department (pictured) who will share insights into set and costume design, interpretation, stagecraft, and more.
