RHODA AND THE FOSSIL HUNT

Music by John Musto
Libretto by Eric Einhorn

Join us for an adventure at the crossroads of science and creativity! Based on a true story, famed paleontologist Dr. Henry Fairfield Osborn has an incredible collection of fossils at his museum, and turns to Charles R. Knight, the famous naturalist artist, to create vivid paintings that help bring these ancient creatures to life for visitors. When Knight’s granddaughter, Rhoda, accompanies him to the museum, she is awestruck by these exciting fossils – and the life-like images that her grandfather creates! Travel back in time with Rhoda and the cast in this fully-staged opera.

For grades 3-6
Performed by a cast of four singers and three instrumentalists
45 minutes long, plus Q&A with the cast afterwards
