Opera Ball 2018

Lyric Opera of Chicago’s thrilling sixty-fourth season begins with one of the most captivating operas ever composed. Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème will open on Saturday, October 6th in a new coproduction between Lyric, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, and Teatro Real Madrid. 

Walk the red-carpet entrance to the beautiful, historic Lyric Opera House with photographers on hand to capture every moment. Mix and mingle in the Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Grand Foyer before the curtain rises on La bohème, in which Michael Fabiano makes his long-awaited Lyric debut as Rodolfo, Maria Agresta portrays her signature role, Mimì, and opera darling Danielle de Niese shines as Musetta.

Did you know? Lyric patrons attending the Opening Night performance are also invited to attend the Opera Ball, hosted by Women’s Board Co-Chairs Erica L. Sandner and Mrs. Alejandro Silva. Add on your ticket to Opera Ball for only $500!

After the final bows, guests will make their way to the Hilton Chicago for an elegant evening of cocktails, dinner, and live music from The City Lights Orchestra. This soirée celebrates the inauguration of another remarkable Lyric season, and you will feel transported to the romantic streets of Paris. Best of all, the black-tie affair gives attendees an opportunity to celebrate the 2018/19 Season with the stars of La bohème.
