Robert J. Prindle

Lyric Opera Chorister 1975-present;  Also: multiple performances with the Chicago Symphony, Ravinia Festival and  Millenium Park.  Bass-Baritone.

Mr. Prindle has been singing professionally for over 40 years with all major professional organizations in Chicago.  In addition to his chorus assignments, he has performed solo in "Street Scene",  "The Rakes Progress" and other shows including covering Fourth Diener in "Capriccio".

Mr. Prindle began his singing career when auditioning for renowned Chorus Master Margaret Hillis who encouraged him to pursue singing as a career.  His early training as an actor continued when appearing, among other roles as "Giles Corey" in Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" (the play not the opera) in his 20's playing a character that was 80.  Early in his career he recorded nearly 100 radio dramas for WMBI in a variety of character roles.

On film Mr. Prindle appeared in "My Best Friend's Wedding" with Julia Roberts.  His discography includes "Six Characters in Search of an Author" produced by the Lyric Opera Center for Young American Artists.  Mr. Prindle was engaged, as an outside artist, for several productions of The Lyric Opera Center inclusive of the Center's Composer in Residence program.  The aforementioned is in addition to television appearances in "Eugene Onegin" and "Anthony and Cleopatra" and hundreds of national and international radio broadcasts.

Upcoming, Mr. Prindle is looking forward to increasing his acting appearances both on stage and in television and film.
