Internship title: Marketing Intern, Group Sales
Time commitment: 14-25 hrs/week
Compensation: Course credit available; $30 travel stipend per week


Brief description of duties:

  • Support with outbound sales calls to potential buyers

  • Create new and update existing marketing lists

  • Assist with sending follow up sales material to group prospects

  • Identify, initiate, and execute group sales opportunities

  • Develop copy for e-marketing and online campaigns

  • Assist in the creation and execution of advertising, signage, and promotional materials

  • Conduct best practice research to identify opportunities for marketing campaigns

  • Assist with invoicing, data entry, and patron account maintenance

  • Support with day-of operations for special events

  • Assist other members of the marketing team as assigned

  • Opportunities to attend networking events and meetings outside of traditional business hours


Required skills:

  • Pursuing undergraduate studies in marketing, sales, communications, or related field

  • Interest in opera or the arts

  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate over the phone and in email

  • Computer literacy is required, with an emphasis in Microsoft Suite and Google Drive
