Ryan Opera Center Internship
Time Commitment: 3–4 days per week
Season: February–June 2014
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
in the processing of applications and requests for information for the national preliminary auditions including preparing materials for auditions, data entry,
and processing large mailings of results.
in updating the Opera Center daily schedule during the summer.
with arrangements for the final auditions to be held in September.
with preparations for Ryan Opera Center Board Meetings.
in maintaining Ryan Opera Center files for concerts, recitals, invoices,
auditions, and various marketing materials.
clerical duties as assigned.
in coordinating various aspects of Ryan Opera Center productions
in troubleshooting at auditions, rehearsals and performances
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Successful applicants should
have a working knowledge of Windows based applications such as Microsoft Word,
Excel, and other database applications.
He or she should be a self-starter and have a genuine interest in the
production and administration of the arts.
Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational
skills (including attention to detail), have a working knowledge of music, and
some experience in an office environment.
