The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts

Join us for the continuation of a longtime tradition: Live 98.7WFMT opening-night broadcasts from Lyric Opera of Chicago, hosted by 98.7WFMT program host George Preston and Lyric dramaturg Roger Pines. Lyric Opera of Chicago's entire 2009/10 eight-opera season is produced and distributed nationally and internationally by The WFMT Radio Network.

Beginning on Saturday, May 15, and continuing every Saturday through July 3, The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts of the 2009/10 Lyric Opera of Chicago season will be rebroadcast internationally by The WFMT Radio Network and heard locally on 98.7WFMT. The broadcasts are on the following Saturdays:

Chicago-area broadcasts on 98.7WFMT begin at 12:00 p.m/noon except for the May 22 broadcast of Katya Kabanova, which will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the July 3 broadcast of The Marriage of Figaro, which will begin at 3:00p.m. Check local listings for exact times and dates outside the Chicago area. The broadcasts can also be heard anywhere in the world on www.wfmt.com.
