By Phone
Starting September 15, you can exchange by phone at 312.827.5600. Please be prepared when making this call by having the tickets you wish to exchange in hand, acceptable alternative performance dates of the same opera in mind, and credit card information (if applicable).
Your call must be received at least 5 days prior to the date shown on your tickets.
*We regret that we cannot accept exchanges by phone until September 15 due to the high volume of phone sales and mail exchanges in early September.

TICKET EXCHANGE INFORMATION
-
Subscription tickets (including TRADEONE tickets) may only be exchanged for another performance of the same opera.
-
The exchange service charge is $4 per ticket for subscribers with series of 7 or fewer operas. There is no exchange fee for our 8-opera subscribers (A, B, C, D, E, MA) or current Bravo Circle members.
-
If mailing or faxing your exchange request, the ticket you wish to exchange (actual tickets or a fax copy of ripped tickets) must be received in our office at least 5 days prior to the performance date shown on your tickets. Beginning September 15, you can call in your exchange request no less than 5 days prior to your performance date. Why? Because we requiresufficient time to resell an exchanged ticket. Not enough time to sell the tickets means financial loss for Lyric.
-
For best service, we highly recommend that you submit your subscription ticket exchange request via mail or fax as soon as possible.
-
Our inability to complete an exchange is most often due to the limited options provided by subscribers. Be sure to give us multiple options!
-
Ticket exchanges are not always possible in the case of sold out performances.
-
In the event you exchange into a lower price section, we regret we cannot refund the difference. If you exchange from a weekday to a weekend (Fri. evening, Sat., Sun.) performance or into a higher priced section, you will be charged the difference.
-
Exchanges may be delivered in person to the Ticket Office (20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 840, Chicago) but we cannot provide your new exchange tickets at that time.
