VOLUNTEER AT LYRIC
EDUCATION The Education Department of Lyric Opera of Chicago welcomes anyone interested in participating in our community outreach programs to apply for membership in our award-winning Lyric Opera Lecture Corps. After orientation and training, Lecture Corps members choose from the following positions: opera lecturers at various sites in the community, Student Backstage Tour guides, high school lecturers for our Student Matinee programs, and lecturers for elementary school students in our Opera-in-the-Classroom program. Prospective Lecture Corps members need not have musical training or previous experience in teaching or lecturing; all that's needed is an enthusiastic love of opera and a strong desire to share that love with others. Members are required to be season subscription holders. Volunteers are also welcomed to assist in the administrative offices in various capacities.

TICKETS Ticket Department Support - Approximately 20 hours per month (flexible daytime hours), volunteers support the ticket department in areas including ticket mailings, data entry audits and general office support. Great opportunity for detail-oriented individuals to meet new people while working in a well organized, friendly and relaxed environment.

LYRIC OPERA CHAPTERS Right in your own community, there's a group of opera and music lovers known as a Lyric Opera Chapter. Here, Lyric devotees of all ages get together to enjoy lectures, musical performances, special events, volunteer opportunities, and each other's company - all in support of Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Chapter membership is available to all Lyric Opera contributors of $50 or more plus $20 in dues, payable to the Chapter you join.
