The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts
to re-air Un ballo in maschera Tuesday, June 28 at 8 p.m.
on the WFMT Radio Network

The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts will rebroadcast Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. The opera rebroadcast will be carried internationally by The WFMT Radio Network and heard locally on 98.7WFMT.

A technical error resulted in an incomplete airing of the Ballo rebroadcast on June 11.

The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), the union of professional singers, dancers and production personnel in opera, ballet and concert, affiliated with the AFL-CIO, who represent the Artists and Staging Staff at Lyric Opera of Chicago for the purposes of collective bargaining, have donated their services for this rebroadcast.

The members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and all the other musicians who performed for this recording of the Lyric Opera of Chicago production of Un ballo in maschera are represented by the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Local 10-208 of the American Federation of Musicians. These musicians are donating their services for this rebroadcast.

The members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 2, who participated in this production, are also donating their services for this rebroadcast.

The host and commentator for this and all the Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts are George Preston, afternoon drive-time host on 98.7WFMT, Chicago’s classical radio station, and Roger Pines, dramaturg of Lyric Opera of Chicago, respectively.
