The Bucksbaum Family Lyric Opera Broadcasts

Opening-night performances of Lyric's full eight-opera season are broadcast live September through March in the Chicago area on 98.7wfmt. The full season is rebroadcast over eight consecutive Saturdays, on 98.7wfmt locally and on the WFMT Radio Network internationally. The spring broadcasts can also be heard on These broadcasts include insightful artist interviews as pre-performance and intermission features. They reach an audience of 28 million internationally via radio, and an unlimited number of listeners worldwide via enhanced web streaming at These broadcasts are enjoyed by countless listeners whose access to live opera may be limited by geography, disability, or financial resources.
